From Movie Misery to Meaning: Complaining Without Action

On Friday night I went to the cinema with the wife and kids

There’s actually a lot of movies on right now that I’d like to see…

But by the time we all got ready and decided where we were going to have dinner, the only one we could see was “The Meg 2”

Its the sequel ‘the meg’ obviously about a massive megaladon that goes on the rampage

Honestly?

RIGHT UP THERE as the worst film I’ver EVER seen at the cinema

Closely followed by the new Pinocchio they released back in 2020 when the old ‘rona was doing the rounds

This thing was total SH1TE

Utter garbage

Even my daughter thought it was terrible

2/3’d’s boring, 1/3 plain stupid (the film, not my daughter)

The maddest part is that we STAYED FOR THE ENTIRE MOVIE

So not only was I complaining to myself for 2 HOURS

I complained afterwards too

The reality is I could have got up and left at any time during that movie

Weird how we do that isn’t it?

Complain about something but do nothing
Complain about something that we could do something about, but don’t
Keep things that same even though we DON’T like it

Now I know this email is kinda tongue in cheek

But if you’re complain about something and doing nothing?

Maybe NOW is the time
Maybe you’re sick of how you feel
Maybe you’re sick of repeating the same habits and behaviours over and over again
Maybe you’re sick of letting yourself down

I don’t know

But its one of those crossroads we often get to

1- Keep complaining and change nothing
2- Decide to take action and step up
